Arrest in New Year's Eve town centre nightclub shooting case

A MAN has been arrested over a shooting at a Huddersfield nightclub.

The man is 24 and has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

The incident took place at Club Society in Kirkgate early on New Year’s Day.

Shots were fired after trouble erupted in the club, which was evacuated.

One man needed hospital treatment.
