PEOPLE often spend their Sundays doing household chores such as ironing.
And it’s no exception for three Huddersfield divers tomorrow morning.
But instead of carrying out the task in front of the TV they will be extreme ironing in a world record-breaking underwater ironing attempt.
David Colley, Colin Smith and Andy Briggs will dive down into a quarry – the National Diving and Activity Centre – in Chepstow, south-east Wales, and start the ironing.
All are members of Huddersfield Sub Aqua Club.
In order to break the world record the divers will have to spend 10 minutes below water ironing, along with another 150 people.
The world record is held by a group of 72 Australian divers.
