Retired salesman probus club’s new president
KIRKBURTON Probus Club has a new president.
John Woodhead received the chain of office at the club’s first meeting of the year, held at Kirkburton Cricket Club.
It was handed to him by outgoing president Brenda Willis.
Mr Woodhead, who lives in Kirkburton, is a retired salesman for the textile trade.
He previously worked at Benjamin Crossland in Oakes before moving on to work for the Leeds-based offices of Dormeuil of London and Ab Fodervanader of Boras, Sweden.
Mr Woodhead has been a member of the club for 11 years.
