Fears over planned bus service changes

“The impact will be immense and the most vulnerable and least well-off will be the hardest hit.”
An Arriva spokeswoman said the company was finalising the details and would not comment on the proposed changes.
But she said there would be an event on Wednesday when councillors could view the details and comment on them.
A spokesman for Metro said members hoped the changes would have the minimal impact on passengers.
He added: “Arriva wants to make some major service changes in April.
“We have been contacted by several concerned councillors and we’ve brokered a meeting between them and Arriva so they can consult the local representatives and get their views.”
If approved, Arriva would have to register their intention to make changes by February for them to be in place in April.
