Little Sanam had broken legs and arms before death

A MOTHER today admitted failing to protect her two-year-old daughter as she and her partner went on trial accused of conducting a campaign of violence in which dozens of injuries were inflicted on the girl before she died.
Zahbeena Navsarka, 21, of Riddings Road, Sheepridge, is charged, with her partner, Subhan Anwar, of murdering Sanam Navsarka in May last year.
Navsarka pleaded guilty to an alternative charge of failing to protect her daughter from Answar’s acts at the beginning of the trial at Bradford Crown Court.
But Julian Goose QC, prosecuting, told the jury that Navsarka and Anwar were both responsible for Sanam’s murder.
Mr Goose said: "Whether it was one, or the other, who actually inflicted the injuries, by doing nothing to help her or save her over a four-week period up to her death amounted to encouragement and support for all of the violence that took place.
