Latest news on Lockwood fire engine accident victims

A MAN badly hurt in an accident involving a fire engine is still critically ill in hospital.

The 37-year-old suffered severe head injuries when he was one of three people knocked down at a crossing on Lockwood Road, Lockwood, on Saturday teatime.

He has not been named, but comes from Lindley. He is in Leeds General Infirmary

He has special needs and was having respite care at North House, a residential home for adults with learning disabilities, on Swan Lane in Lockwood.

A woman aged 21 who was also having respite care there was slightly hurt, along with a 51-year-old Dewsbury woman, their carer.
