Last year’s feedback has already been implemented with 60 of the 74 GP practices in Kirklees now offering extended opening hours.
After three years, the survey has been updated and includes more questions to find out if GP practices are getting the basics right, such as whether patients find receptionists helpful, are told about telephone consultations and feel their problem is understood by their GP.
Patients will also be asked to rate the overall care they receive.
Local out of hours care will also be a focus of the survey, with health bosses looking to see how accessible the service is.
NHS Kirklees chief executive Mike Potts said: “This new survey with wider questions will ensure patients can have their say about the issues that matter most to them.
“I hope everyone who receives a questionnaire will take the time to fill it in and directly influence changes to healthcare in Kirklees and contribute to improving patient experience.”
NHS Kirklees say the survey can link GP pay more closely to their patients views if it will improve care for patients.
