Garage thieves’ failure
Jan 16 2009 by Andrew Hirst, Huddersfield Daily Examiner
BURGLARS made a determined bid to break into a garage, even ramming a car into it.
The theft bid was at a garage on Gawthorpe Lane in Lepton.
The would-be thieves struck between 9.15am and 11.45am on Wednesday.
But they failed to get in and police think they may have fled after being disturbed.
Det Con Russ Conlon, from Kirklees CID intelligence unit, said: “We think they tried to force open the door first and when they were unsuccessful they drove a blue vehicle at it.
“If anyone saw what happened or has any information then please call us.”
