MBE recognises service to cricket

A MUCH-respected Holmfirth cricket coach has been presented with his MBE in recognition of his 50-years service to cricket.

Tony Eustance, who is known for his efforts in coaching and helping talented youngsters, received his award from the Queen at Buckingham Palace.

Tony has spent nearly 50 years working with young people as a teacher and a sports coach and is currently head coach for Holmfirth Cricket Club.

He started his teaching career in Toxteth, Liverpool, in 1961 and worked for Parklands School in Speke, where he taught English, drama and cricket.
