Missing man Colin found dead after four days

MISSING man Colin Fay has been found dead yards away from his Hepworth home.

The body of a middle-aged man was discovered by two walkers at 3pm yesterday at Cheese Gate Nab, off Sheffield Road.

Police believe the body is that of father-of-two Mr Fay, 61, who went missing from his home at Old Mill Court on January 19.

The body was found about half a mile from Hepworth.

Mr Fay’s wife Joyce and two grown-up children have been informed and a formal identification is due to take place today.

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances and have cancelled further searches for Mr Fay.
