Guide to neighbourhood activities

A NEIGHBOURHOOD police officer from Lindley has launched a Welcome To Lindley what’s on guide.

Pc Graeme Hind, and Priority Neighbourhoods Project team member Carol Lord set up the publication to include local businesses, activities and events in Lindley.

The idea for a what's on guide for the area came after various community groups struggled to promote their events.

The guide is funded by Kirklees Council’s Huddersfield North Area Committee and the Johnnie Johnson Housing Association.

Copies of the guide were handed out to schoolchildren and are available at the local libraryand sales offices of housing developers.

Pc Hind said: “There are numerous opportunities for young and old alike so there is no excuse for people to say ‘there's nothing to do’ or ‘I’m bored’.”
