TUES AM: Inquest after man found dead in Almondbury pond

A MAN has been found dead in a pond at Almondbury.

An inquest was opening today in Bradford into the death of 36-year-old Jared Read who was discovered lifeless in the water off Lower Wheat Royd close to Sharp Lane at 2.40am on Friday.

Mr Read, a creative director who lived on Westgate in Almondbury, was found by a friend.

The inquest was due to be adjourned for further inquiries and a resumed hearing will be held in Huddersfield in the coming months.
