PUPILS excluded from schools could be given a reprieve.
Calderdale Council will discuss alternatives to expulsion at a scrutiny panel meeting on February 2.
It is hoped the measures will relieve pressure on pupil referral units for disruptive students.
A report prepared for the meeting found 18 pupils had been expelled from Calderdale schools since the start of the academic year.
Proposals include in-house learning for students at risk of expulsion.
