Huddersfield opens doors for Race for Life

HUDDERSFIELD women have been given another chance to Race for Life.

The town has again been chosen to host one of the hugely popular Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life 2009.

And it will enable thousands to help raise even more money for research to help more people survive cancer.

The Huddersfield event has in the past raised hundreds of thousands of pounds.

This year’s Race for Life in Huddersfield is again split in three – with events on Saturday, June 27, at 10.30am and Sunday, June 28, at 10.30am and 2.30pm at Leeds Road Playing Fields.

Last year 6,000 women walked, jogged or ran the event and raised an incredible £315,000.

Now organisers are encouraging 6000 women to put their best feet forward and raise £325,000.
