Summer Wine actor Ken Kison launches drama school in Huddersfield

A LAST OF THE SUMMER WINE star is calling on budding actors to take part in his new drama classes.

Ken Kitson – who played a policeman in the BBC show for 25 years – has plans to run an 11-week course in Huddersfield.

The professionally-trained actor – who also specialises in fencing and stage fighting – is offering people the chance to learn a variety of techniques for television, film and theatre.

The course will focus on acting skills, working with accents, mask work and physical movement including stage fighting.

Ken, who lives in Bradford, said: “I don’t think anybody else offers anything like this in one course.

“It is totally comprehensive.

“I have been teaching fencing and stage fighting for 30 years and have a diploma in it.

“I’m sure it will be lots of fun.”
