Disabled Honley man vows not to pay parking ticket
Mr Swift has still not paid the fine, which he received on October 25 last year. He said: “I phoned Kirklees and told them to take me to court but they said they wouldn’t do that, they would send the bailiffs round instead.
“I think they’re thugs and bullies.”
A Kirklees spokeswoman said: “There is a formal appeals procedure if anyone feels they have received a ticket unfairly. We have had no formal appeal from Mr Swift.
“Blue badges are not valid in residential permit parking areas but those living in a residents only parking area can apply for visitor permits for use in situations like this.”
