The couple say they were told by staff that there had been another five similar incidents at Batleys.
They are now warning other people to stay near their cars when loading merchandise and to lock them before returning trolleys.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police confirmed that officers were investigating a number of similar incidents at the Deighton depot.
Det Con Mark Dobson said: “This cash and carry has been subjected to similar incidents which have occurred near to closing time – although this particular incident wasn’t.
“The vehicle used by the thieves was on false number plates, so further inquiries are being made to find out where the number plates have come from.
“CCTV from the store is being looked at as part of the investigation.”
Anyone with information about the theft on Saturday morning – or any of the others – should ring 0845 6060606 and ask to contact CID in Huddersfield.
