Warning over weather change
MAKE the most of the sunny weather this weekend – because it won’t last.
Salendine Nook meteorologist Paul Stevens says the clouds will return on Sunday and we’ll see more wintry weather by the end of next week.
Temperatures reached a 13.5°C high in Huddersfield town centre on Wednesday – around 5°C above normal for the time of year.
The high pressure will continue until tomorrow, but Mr Stevens has predicted winds coming in from the east towards the end of the weekend will bring clouds and wintry showers with them.
He said: “The high pressure is still in control throughout Friday and into Saturday which has led to this really mild weather we’ve seen this week.
“But I’m sorry to say that over the weekend it’s going to start to change.
“The daffodils may be out and looking great, but they’re not going to stay out.
“My advice is that this weekend is the perfect time to finish those jobs you’ve started in the gardens or outdoors because the next ten days won’t be as nice.”
