Mothers' Day surprise for two of Huddersfield’s best mums

TEARS of happiness were all around when the Examiner and Marks and Spencer surprised two Huddersfield women with an early Mother’s Day present.

We joined forces with M&S Simply Food at Waterloo to give two deserving mums a special treat ahead of Mother’s Day on Sunday.

Store manager Allison Burnley said the best present for the special mums was free shopping – so she presented Holmfirth grandmother June Reaney and Golcar mother Muriel Cromack with £250 worth of M&S vouchers each.

Allison helped picked the two winners and said: “What a great way to celebrate Mother’s Day by giving two local mums the ultimate prize – free shopping.

“To see them all so happy is just great.”

The winners haven’t yet decided what they will spend their vouchers on, but both promised a treat or two for their daughters, who nominated them in the Examiner competition.
