This is Huddersfield’s most expensive road - do you know where it is?

A STREET in Scissett has been named as the priciest place to live in the Huddersfield area.

Busker Lane came out top of a list of the most exclusive roads in the HD postcode area.

The average value of a property on the street is £595,400.

Second on the list was Northfield Lane in Kirkburton, where the average value is £576,900.

Others in the top 10 were Norwood Park in Birkby (£525,000), the Kirklees Hall development in Brighouse (£503,900), Arkenley Lane in Almondbury (£502,000), Gawthorpe Lane in Gawthorpe (£488,200), Northgate in Honley (£488,100), Pell Lane in Holmfirth (£480,600), Binns Lane in Holmfirth (£476,300) and Ashleigh Dale in Birkby.

Raymond Butterworth, managing director of Huddersfield estate agents Boultons said: “It is generally the case that at the very top end of the market houses don’t get caught up in the very long chain that affects houses a bit further down the price scale.

“If people want to buy a house at that end, they can generally afford it.”
