Work to complete Brighouse bus station

BRIGHOUSE bus station is going into its final phase of redevelopment.

The work, which starts on Sunday, will replace three temporary stops on Gooder Street.

Notices explaining the new arrangements are on display at the current station and on the Metro website at www.wymetro.com

The work began in July 2008 and should be completed in late spring this year.

The bus station will have more comfortable and enclosed waiting areas, 24-hour CCTV cover and electronic information displays altogether costing £2.38 million.

Other improvements include the pedestrian access to the bus station, with new footpaths and crossings.
