Biker boy, 3, injured in mini-moto smash

A BIKER aged just THREE was rushed to hospital with head injuries after an Easter weekend smash.

Toddler Trimayne Lewis hit his head when he was thrown over the handlebars of the mini-motorcycle he was riding after colliding with a kerb in Bradley.

The youngster was taken to Leeds General Infirmary, where he was being looked after in intensive care.

He was said to be improving yesterday.

His grandmother said: “Trimayne is getting better.

“He has left intensive care and is improving all the time. He is definitely on the road to recovery.”

Trimayne was yards from his home on Elder Road when the incident happened at about 5.40pm.

Suzanne Brown, who lives nearby, said her son Callum, eight, had seen it unfold.

She said: “Trimayne’s dad was giving some of the local kids a ride on one of those little mini-motorcycles which I think is his.
