Andrew Jones Pies back in production

THE FAMOUS Andrew Jones pies are back.
Production started again yesterday exactly one week after the tragic explosion at the award-winning business.
It is a significant step for Andrew Jones and his 31 members of staff who were left stunned by the explosion which rocked the Old Leeds Road pie factory on Good Friday.
David Cole, 37, of Halifax, was killed while 24-year-old Marcus Cartwright from Crosland Moor is ill in hospital.
Staff at the butchers have pulled together over the last week to get the business back on its feet.
But they say they will never forget champion pie-maker David Cole as production started once again.
Sales manager Graham Easby said: “Today was a significant day for everybody.
“It is significant that it’s been a week and it’s significant that we’re back to making the pies we’re known for.
“Last Saturday nobody could see a future and nobody could expect to be where we are today.
“But the tragedy is still with us.
“David was known as a champion pie-maker.
