MON AM: Two men arrested over Thornton Lodge shooting

TWO men were today arrested under suspicion of the murder of 28-year-old Jasem Asakerh.

Mr Asakerh, of Birkby Hall Road, Birkby, was shot in the chest while he sat in his Audi Q7 car on Brook Street in Thornton Lodge on April 3.

Police are now conducting house searches in both Huddersfield and Dewsbury.
