A 33-YEAR-OLD man who was allegedly murdered during a street disturbance in Elland had been stabbed at the same location two years before, a jury heard.
Billy Khan died from a single stab wound to the abdomen during violence in the Poplar Court area in August last year.
His brother Yusuf, who was also stabbed during the incident last year, revealed yesterday that Billy had been knifed in a scuffle two years earlier, but no-one had been prosecuted.
During cross-examination by Miftah Ul-Haq’s barrister, William Taylor, QC, Mr Khan described how his brother had ‘stormed off’ on the day he died after finding out that he had lost his new job.
Bradford Crown Court has heard how Billy Khan was evicted from his flat in Charles Street the day before his death and had spent the night in a police cell after being arrested for kicking in the door to the property.
