A Huddersfield safety group has urged police forces to review their policies for car chases. The call came from Brake after Pc John Dougal, 41, was jailed for three years for causing the death of Hayley Adamson, 16, by dangerous driving. Dougal was driving his patrol car at 94mph, without blue lights or a siren, moments before hitting and killing Hayley as she crossed a 30mph road in Newcastle.
