M-way gridlocked as driver is pulled from wrecked car
A DRIVER was cut from the mangled wreckage of his car after a crash on the M62.
But it is believed he escaped with relatively minor injuries.
His Seat Leon spun around and crashed into the central reservation of the eastbound side of the motorway after a side-to-side collision with a lorry at about 11.30am yesterday.
Fire crews with heavy duty cutting machinery from Huddersfield, Elland and Brighouse were called to the scene, on the hill between junction 24 and 25.
A doctor who was tending to the man asked the rescue teams to cut the top off the car and lift him on to a long-board so he could be safely carried on to an ambulance.
