Kirkheaton quiz show king set for Golden Balls as 21st game show

QUIZ show king Leon Wilczynski is set to appear on is 21st TV game show.

The Kirkheaton man will appear on Golden Balls, an ITV1 quiz show hosted by Jasper Carrot where contestants have to bluff their way to winning.

For Leon Wilczynski , 52, it means another game show in his ever-growing list of television appearances from Bob’s Full House to Deal or No Deal.

And his experiences on television have led to him becoming an after dinner and social club speaker.

Leon said: “I actually applied for it at the same time as Deal or No Deal last year.

“But because I was on that in December for a week they put my episode back to this current series.

“It was a great quiz to do, I consider myself to be an honest person so I found having to lie my way through it quite difficult.

“A few people on it got a bit caught up and would scream – it was very over the top.

“But it was a great day.

“Jasper Carrot is a really nice guy, very funny and spent a lot of time talking to us. He’s a bit of football fan so we talked about football and Huddersfield Town.”

He’s unable to say how well he did on the show, but he promises it won’t be his last appearance on quiz shows.

“Who Wants To Be a Millionaire is the ultimate goal,” the sales manager added.
