Parking charges increase in Huddersfield town centre

PARKING charges will rise in Huddersfield.

Cabinet yesterday agreed to increase the price of season tickets in the town centre.

Kirklees had offered a 30% discount to people who paid for year-round parking by direct debit over 10 months.

However, the Cabinet yesterday decided to cut this discount to 20%.

A discounted ticket to park in Area 1 – Brunswick Street, Cambridge Road, King’s Bridge Lane, Milford Street, Spring Grove and St Andrew’s Road – will rise from £804 to £922 a year.

The discounts in other areas were reduced by the same amount.
