Mirfield woman to auction waistcoat created from Michael Jackson's jacket

FASHION designer Jeannette Moise has created clothing for the king of pop.

And now she hopes her work will help raise cash for the victims of knife crime – including her own grandson.

Steven Lewis, 15, died four months ago in London.

Jeannette, 52, of Upper Hopton, who made clothes for Michael Jackson in the 1990s, has fashioned two waistcoats from remnants of material used to create a jacket for the pop legend.

The waistcoats have been made from offcuts of fabric used to create Michael Jackson’s Swarovski crystal-studded jacket, Thunder.

One of the waistcoats is a man’s garment, the other a size eight women’s waistcoat.

Jeannette, said: “They are beautiful pieces of clothing.

“The Thunder jacket reputedly sold to Michael Jackson for $30,000.”

Jeannette has also made a belt backed with fabric used to fashion Michael’s famous Magician’s Fall jacket, worn by the star at the Brit Awards in 1996.

Jeannette created a crystal covered glove to accompany the jacket, as well as a silver shirt to be worn underneath.
