Support group raises thousands
A SUPPORT group has raised thousands of pounds for Kirkwood Hospice.
Members of Dalton Support Group handed over a cheque for £7,870 to the hospice’s Kate Leadbeater, at Dalton New Church.
The group, which meets at the church, made the money through fundraisers including tombolas, raffles and selling knitted garments.
Group member Dee Cobbett said members have raised around £170,000 in the 27 years they have been supporting the Dalton-based hospice.
