WEDS AM: M62 crash appeal for information

POLICE are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the collision on the M62 yesterday morning that resulted in the death of two men.
At 6:30am a Ford Iveco HGV travelling eastbound, left the carriageway between junction 27 and 28, passing through the central reservation onto the westbound carriageway and into oncoming traffic.
Six vehicles were involved in the collision that followed, including the Ford Iveco HGV, a Ford Iveco Daily, a Fiat Ducato, a Mobile Crane, a Fiat Scudo and a Subaru Imprezza.
As a result, the 56 year old driver and front seat passenger of the Fiat Ducato died at the scene.
A 50-year old man from Halifax, who was the driver of the Ford Iveco HGV, was taken to LGI with serious injuries. He is currently still in a critical condition.
The two rear seat passengers from the Fiat Ducato - two men from Leeds were taken to LGI with serious injuries. They are currently in a stable condition.
