Drug addict Huddersfield conman struck 33 times

Every time he exchanged phone numbers with the victim and promised to pay them back.
Mr Adam Birkby, defending, asked for Arshad to be put into a drug rehabilitation scheme as his heroin addiction “was at the heart of his offending”.
But Judge Roger Scott told Arshad he was a conman.
He said: “I don’t believe you’re interested in drug rehabilitation.
“You are a conman and you won’t con me.”
Arshad was jailed for 16 months minus the 42 days he had spent on remand.
