TUES PM: Jury out in Elland murder trial
THE jury in the Billy Khan murder trial has retired to consider its verdict.
Mr Khan was stabbed to death in Elland.
Miftah Ul-Haq, 51, of Elizabeth Street, Elland, admitted stabbing the 33-year-old in the abdomen during a clash in the town last August.
But he denies murder.
The hearing at Bradford Crown Court has been sitting for more than four weeks.
Ul-Haq has also denied a charge of attempted murder or alternatively wounding with intent in respect of Billy Khan’s brother Yusuf, who was also stabbed during the disturbance in the Poplar Court area.
