Accused admits damage
A 28-year-old Rawthorpe man has pleaded guilty to criminal damage.
Clinford Joseph, of Brown Royd Avenue, admitted to the offence relating to an incident on May 3.
Joseph appeared before Huddersfield Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Prosecutor Vanessa Schofield said Joseph had an altercation as he got off a bus.
Mrs Schofield said: "The witness saw him and there was some exchange between them about a previous event and Mr Joseph picked up a stick and said ‘I’m going to smash your face in’ and then he broke the wing mirror on a nearby car."
Neil Murphy, defending, made no representations and the case has been adjourned for trial on July 15.
Joseph also pleaded guilty to an offence of being drunk and disorderly on April 29 at Acre Street, Lindley.
He is further charged with breaching an antisocial behaviour order on May 3, May 6 and May 15, breaking geographical conditions.
He is yet to enter a plea for those offences and the hearings will be heard on July 3.
