KFC parking fine cancelled after campaign

Mrs Bedford said she hopes her story will inspire others to fight against the unreasonable treatment she feels she received.

She said: "I’m glad I fought this, I didn’t think it was the right way to treat a customer.

" I also hope this will make people aware of how these companies are treating genuine customers by imposing time limits– it will certainly be more careful of where I park in future.

"I won’t be going back but I definitely think they should abolish the time limit."

Mrs Bedford is one of several customers to have been caught out by the parking limit at the Leeds Road KFC in the last year.

They include Emley couple Michelle and Paul Douse who were fined while hosting their daughter’s birthday party there.

The complaints mean KFC is now reviewing its car parking rules.

A spokesperson said: "We are currently reviewing the time limit with Creative Car Park who manage the car park, and we will let our customers know once a decision has been reached."
