More roadwork warnings for M62

DRIVERS have been warned of more roadworks on the M62.

The Highways Agency is advising road users to allow extra time for their journeys on the M62 in West Yorkshire from next Monday (June 8) when work will begin between Junctions 29 and 30.

The work will include replacing the existing steel central reservation barrier with a new concrete barrier over a three-mile stretch.

The scheme will also include some drainage improvement works and hard shoulder resurfacing.

During the work, lane three will be closed on the west and eastbound carriageways, with drivers using the hard shoulder. This will maintain three narrow lanes of traffic in each direction.

There will be a 50mph speed limit in place for the safety of road users and road workers. Work will take place 24 hours a day.

Road users may experience moderate delays and are advised to allow extra time for their journeys. Work is expected to be completed in mid September.
