Mum's warning on pimps after 14-year-old daughter falls into life of vice

The concerned mum said her daughter was under the complete control of the pimps and didn’t realise what they were doing was wrong.

She said her daughter had been groomed and manipulated. She fears she may become dependant on drugs.

She said: "Her phone is constantly in her hand. Sometimes she will answer it and I can hear a man shouting down the phone.

"Once they’ve got them in their clutches they say they owe them for this or that and they have to work the debt off."

She said her whole family’s life has ‘fallen apart’.

Her worried 15-year-old son stays up waiting for his sister on an evening and is often tired when he goes to school the next morning.

The desperate family have even followed the daughter and have seen her getting into strange men’s cars.

Coalition for the Removal of Pimping (CROP) have given the family help and support throughout.

CROP senior practitioner Sarah Lloyd said: "Parents should know that they’re not alone in this and there’s support out there for them.

"We work with a number of families in Huddersfield.

"We suspect it’s the same groups of men because they often have the same nicknames and phone numbers and registration plates.

"They target these girls because they are young.

"It’s often thought that the girls are complicit, but they are children and it is child abuse and it is a crime.

"These men convince them that it’s normal, they abuse the child’s inherent desire to rebel against their families.

"Their family relationships break down and their support networks are dismantled."
