BUDDING young actors got a taste of the limelight on a film set in Huddersfield.
The children, who study theatre and performance arts at the Pauline Quirke Academy in Rastrick, joined the cast of a short film being put together in Dalton.
And they enjoyed every second of the experience.
Academy director Jo Storrs arranged the visit as part of National Family Week.
She said: “I organised for the children and their parents to visit a film shoot and they had a tremendous time.
“This was a short film being produced by 11.59 productions and First Step Film, based on a short story, Derelict Ambitions.
“It was about children growing up, with the story following them through childhood into adulthood, showing their ups and downs.
“The locations we visited during our trip were Shaws cafe in Dalton and The Grove public house, in Long Lane.
“The crew made the kids feel at home and they were roped in as extras for some scenes.
“It was great to see them actually getting involved and they enjoyed every minute of the experience.
