Ahmadiyya Muslim community learn about the dangers of knife crime
MUSLIM leaders are addressing knife crime in the community.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association invited Pc Paul Jackson to its Huddersfield Mosque to talk to the children about the dangers of knife crime.
Fatih-ul Haq, regional co-ordinator of Ansarullah, an auxiliary section of the Ahmadiyya, felt “young impressionable minds should be educated and made aware of the dangers and folly of carrying knives”.
Mr Haq quoted verses from the Qur’an emphasising justice and doing good to others.
He said: “The teachings of the Holy Qur’an are repeated in the educational programmes of the community.
“Youngsters are regularly admonished and reminded about their duties and responsibilities to the wider community.”
