Vanstallation art work on show in Holmfirth

THEY may look like ordinary vans but these vehicles have an added extra.
And these 14 arty vans were on display as part of Holmfirth Art Festival as part of the Vanstallation art project.
The "art work in a van" ranged from a nine-year-old boy’s unmade bedroom to a cinematic experience and an ice-cream van.
Organisers Victoria Robinson and Tristram Thirkell said they were pleased with the variety on show.
Victoria said: "It’s the second time we’ve done it and there were some wonderful vans.
"We had eight vans last year and now we’ve got 14.
"Quite a few of the designers are artists themselves but others just like the idea and have a van so joined in."
Victoria transformed her 1960 Commer Campervan into a hair emporium.
Another wrapped his van in tarpaulin while there were torsos and heads on display in others.
The vans were on display outside the Old Bridge Hotel in the centre of Holmfirth.
Nine-year-old Henry Pearson, who was born in Huddersfield but now lives in Scunthorpe with his mum Jo Burton and dad Kevin Pearson, transformed the family Mazda Bongo van into his untidy bedroom for the day.
