Mr Sidding said: "This is an enthralling, state-of-the-art facility, designed to house the church and benefit the wider community."
The £14m building includes a 2,100-seat main auditorium, a bookshop, a café and a modern indoor and outdoor play gym for children.
There are also conference facilities available for hire, teaching rooms, on-site parking, disabled access, a state-of-the-art sound system with a multi-language translation option and an induction loop.
The new church is reputedly the largest modern purpose-built church in the country since Guildford Cathedral in the 1930s.
Huddersfield Christian Fellowship has a growing congregation made up of people from a wide variety of social, cultural and religious backgrounds.
Sunday morning services typically attract 700 to 800 worshippers from 24 different nationalities.
Mr Cooper said: "The heart of the leadership is for the building to become a haven for the people of Yorkshire and beyond, where new relationships are established, meaningful connections are formed and existing friendships and social ties are strengthened and enriched."
