THE Beautiful South are coming to Holmfirth.
After splitting two years ago, the band announced in January this year that they had reformed as the New Beautiful South.
Now, they have scheduled to play at Holmfirth Picturedrome on August 21.
The band will be without singer Paul Heaton, who has left to pursue a solo career.
The band will feature Dave Hemingway on vocals, Alison Wheeler on vocals, Huddersfield-born Dave Stead on drums, Damon Butcher on keyboards, Gary Birtles on alto sax and Tony Robinson on trombone, flugel and trumpet.
The band will also be introducing new members – original guitarist Phil Barton and new bass player Winston Blissett, who replaces Sean Welch.
The original Beautiful South was formed in Hull in the 1980s by former members of The Housemartins Paul Heaton and Dave Hemingway.
Over the next two decades, they sold more than 15 million albums worldwide and had a string of hits such as 1990 number one single A Little Time, plus Old Red Eyes Is Back, Rotterdam, Don't Marry Her and Perfect 10.
