A POWER cut was caused by an electricity pylon that set on fire.
The supply went off at 4,967 homes across Huddersfield.
Honley, Brockholes, New Mill, Meltham, Fenay Bridge, Berry Brow, Farnley Tyas and Stocksmoor were all affected.
The power failed at 1.38pm and was restored at 1.42pm by Yorkshire Electricity Distribution.
One house was left without power until 17.12. It is thought there was a fault with the transformer on Hanging Stone Road, Berry Brow.
Huddersfield fire service put out the blaze after being called to the scene at 2.30pm.
