THURS PM: Latest on Elland security van heist - pictures

THREE masked men have stolen a large quantity of cash from a cash in transit van in Elland this morning.

The thieves raided a van on Southgate, Elland at 11am shortly after it is believed to have left the Lloyds Bank.

A spokeswoman for West Yorkshire Police said that the three men targeted the van and then made off in a get-away car which was found on fire a short time later.

The investigation is ongoing but anyone with information is asked to call Calderdale CID on 01422 337 085.
