Golfers invited to take part in Kirkwood Hospice golf day

GOLFERS will be getting into the swing for Kirkwood Hospice at a charity match next month.

The Dalton-based hospice will host its third annual golf fundraiser on July 4 at Bradley Park Golf Club.

Golfers taking part will form teams. Before they tee off, they will get a breakfast and teams will meet each other.

Each team will be made up of players and will play in a ‘four ball better ball’ format over 18 holes.

After the final putt, teams can retire to the 19th hole for drinks.

To complete the day’s entertainment, there will be presentations, prize giving, pie and pea supper and live music provided by local band Vital Signs.

Bradley Park recently received Junior Golf Mark accreditation fromŠThe English Golf Union and English Women’s Golf Association – the first course in Kirklees to receive such recognition.

Entry costs £120 per team and £5 per person for the evening entertainment.
