Road works cause chaos in Honley
“We informed residents on Church Street, Southgate, Green Cliffe, Greenway, Thurston Road and Crow Street, by letter that we would be working in the area.”
She added that the work started on May 7 and is due for completion the week commencing June 29.
A spokeswoman for BT added that their works to replace 68m of duct along Southgate should be completed by today.
Meanwhile the prolonged closure of Halifax Road will soon come to an end.
United Utilities have been working along the inbound stretch of road, a major link between Huddersfield town centre and the M62, since early April.
The UU spokeswoman added: “We anticipate that all work will be completed on Halifax Road and East Street during the week commencing the June 29, barring any engineering difficulties.”
