Geography day at Rowley Lane Junior Infant and Nursery School
SCHOOL children spent a whole day learning about their favourite countries.
The pupils at Rowley Lane Junior Infant and Nursery School were taking part in geography day.
Each class at the Lepton school chose a country and explored its geography and culture through art.
Art teacher Ellen Halliman said: “The whole school is involved and each class has chosen a country that they want to focus on.
“We’re learning about it through artwork.
“We think art is a really good way to find out about the world around us.
“Year 4 are making Aboriginal artwork and Year 5 are making Egyptian pots.
“We’ve also got traditional music playing in each classroom.
“It’s fantastic – there’s all sorts of different things going on.”
