Organiser Helen Jubb said a bumper crowd of almost 1,000 had come up to the moors to check out the action.
She said: “It’s the best weather we’ve had for five years. It’s really bustling, people have been queuing to get in at the gates.
“There’s been a good turn out for the vintage tractors.
“The cakes are all sold up and there’s a good atmosphere.
“It’s nice and warm again today so that’s brought the crowds back out.”
This year money raised is being kept by the Harden Moss Sheep Dog Trials Association as the organisers plough money back into the Greenfield Road showground in preparation for the massive centenary celebration in 2011.
