Mirfield puppy fighting for life after being mauled in dog attack

Vets had to treat Honey for shock before they could operate and she was kept in an oxygen tent overnight before undergoing surgery yesterday. .

Now Lisa is appealing for the owner or anyone with information to come forward.

She added: “Sometimes we take my five-year-old nephew walking down there.

“What if it had been him who was attacked?”

The Japanese Akita dog is approximately three feet tall and a distinctive ginger colour.

The female owner is slim and in her mid-30s with shoulder-length dark brown bobbed hair. She was wearing blue jeans and a blue cardigan.
